Mike Roberts
Mike joined Mortgage Warehouse in 2007 and currently oversees the day-to-day company operations. Mike has a wide range of job functions including but not limited to making underwriting decisions, company marketing, rate locks, post closing, selling loans in the secondary market, and ensuring compliance with all State and Federal laws. Mike has played a key role in the growth and success of Mortgage Warehouse since 2007. He was largely responsible for transitioning Mortgage Warehouse into a direct lender capable of underwriting and funding its own mortgage loans. Aside from Mike’s role as Vice President, he still ranks as one of Mortgage Warehouse’s top producing loan originators, and maintains deep roots in the Louisville community as a result of delivering superior customer service for over a decade.
Professional Experience
Mike has 11 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has been involved with well over $1 billion in mortgage fundings. Mike began as a loan officer for a mid-sized regional mortgage company where he was consistently ranked as the #1 overall mortgage loan originator. Early on, Mike set several company mortgage origination records. In 2001, Mike was promoted and began building his first branch offices consisting of teams in Lexington and Louisville. In 2003, Mike was hired into a Vice President capacity where he began building similar branch offices for one of the fastest growing mortgage companies in America. In all, he has developed over 300 employees and built complete mortgage operations in 16 major cities extending from Orlando, FL to Denver, CO.
Education
Mike has completed over 150 hours of mortgage licensing education in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, and Texas. He designed and implemented a mortgage training program and has taught over 200 loan officers in a classroom environment. After graduating with honors from high school, Mike achieved the National Dean’s List Award at St. Catharine College. Only ½ of 1% of all college students in America receive this award for academic excellence. Mike has passed the National S.A.F.E. mortgage exam, along with 5 other state specific exams. Mike is also a direct endorsed mortgage loan underwriter by the Federal Housing Administration. Mike currently holds mortgage licenses in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Florida.
